What the canvas cannot preview
These parts run as code on the published site. On the canvas you see a placeholder or a fixed state. Publish to a preview URL to see them work.
Hero video: the canvas shows the poster. The published site plays the loop when you add an MP4 to the Video property (Home hero, About band). Phones and reduced-motion visitors see the poster.
Opening hours: the status dot and the text next to it are computed live from the hours on the footer's hidden Opening hours (source) instance. Edit hours there, not on the cards.
Testimonials: the carousel arrows and dots appear on the published site; the canvas shows a plain grid. The Settings: Carousel layer sets 3 / 2 / 1 per page.
Maps: the Map layer embeds Google Maps from an address. The canvas shows the address only.
Dark mode: the toggle in the navigation switches the whole site; every colour is a token with a light and a dark value.
Booking: the Book page picker is a demo. Insert the Cal.com component from the Insert panel in its place to take real bookings.
Where to start
1. Site Settings: name, favicon, form submission destination, custom domain. 2. CMS: replace the six solicitors, seven practice areas, nine fee categories and the offices with yours; every page reads from them. 3. Footer: your SRA number, offices and hours. 4. Style guide page: swap the two fonts and the accent colour in the style tokens; nothing else needs touching.
Regulatory copy to check
The form disclaimer, the footer regulatory line, the Fees page ranges, the Complaints procedure, the Privacy notice and the Terms of business are placeholders written for a fictional firm regulated in England and Wales. Check each one against your regulator before publishing. The Docs page lists where each line lives.
